국내 유행 및 유입 가능한 플라비바이러스감염증에 대한 진단법 구축

초록

Purpose : The aims of this study were to set up laboratory diagnostic methods for confirming the infections(Japanese encephalitis, Dengue fever, Yellow fever, and West Nile fever) and standardize them to maintain high quality laboratory performance. Methods : We reviewed the past and current diagnostic methods for the arboviral infections. And then, we compared the several serological, virological, and molecular methods and adopted them to our laboratory environment. Results : For Japanese encephalitis(JE), we revised the current JE diagnostic methods for detecting JE antibodies and viral nucleic acid(Hemagglutination inhibition test and RT-PCR, respectively) to reduce the result arrival time, and established Immunofluorescence assay(IFA) and Plaque reduction neutralization test(PRNT). For Dengue, Yellow fever, and West Nile fever we introduced ELSIA test and established diagnostic methods including PRNT, virus isolation by using C6/36 cell lines and RT-PCR from human serum. Finally, we drew up a standard operating manuals to improve quality assurance for these established laboratory tests. Conclusions : In this study, we established the diagnostic methods for detecting Flavivirus infections and standardized them, which will contribute to the overall public health in Korea.
