보건의료연구자원정보센터(CODA) 운영을 위한 중장기 전략 수립

초록

이 연구에서는 CODA(clinical omics data archive)의 중장기 발전 방향을 탐구하였다. 현재 의과학 연구에서 오믹스 자료의 역할이 매우 중요한 위치를 차지하고 있는데, 이자료는 임상자료의 결합으로 더욱 많은 가치를 가질 수 있다. 특히, 한 번 자료를 생산하면 서로 다른 연구에도 적용할 수 있는 기회가 있기 때문에 생산한 자료의 저장과 재사용은 매우 중요하다고 할 수 있다. 이러한 자료저장소의 역할을 수행하고 있는 CODA는 점점 더 증가하고 있는 오믹스자료의 효율적인 보관과 사용을 위하여 몇가지 고려사항이 있다. 첫째, 좀 더 많은 사람들이 사용 가능한 고품질의 임상오믹스 자료를 보유하고 분양해야 한다. 둘째, 관련 분야의 연구자가 아니더라도 오믹스 자료의 이용이 용이 할 수 있도록 임상오믹스 자료의 자료 분석에 대한 지속적인 교육이 필요하다. 셋째, 오믹스 자료의 재활용성을 높이기 위하여 새로운 표현형 자료의 확보가 필요하고 이를 위하여 공공자료의 연계가 필수적이다. 마지막으로 CODA 보유자료의 효과적인 사용을 위하여 보안이 강화된 On-premis 시스템 GPU 시스템의 확충, 그리고 연구자들의 손쉬운 오믹스 자료 분석을 보조하는 클라우드 시스템이 필요하다.

This study explores the medium- and long-term development direction of CODA (Clinical Omics Data Archive). In current biomedical research, omics data plays a very important role, and this data can hold even greater value when combined with clinical data. In particular, since once data is produced, it can be applied to different studies, the storage and reuse of produced data is crucial. CODA, which functions as such a data repository, has several considerations to ensure the efficient storage and use of the increasingly growing omics data. First, it is necessary to have high-quality clinical omics data that is available for more people to use and distribute. Second, continuous education on the analysis of clinical omics data is needed to make the use of omics data accessible even to researchers outside related fields. Third, in order to increase the reusability of omics data, the acquisition of new phenotype data is essential, and the linkage of public data is necessary for this. Finally, to ensure the effective use of CODA’s stored data, the expansion of a secure On-premise system with GPU capabilities, as well as a cloud system to assist researchers in easily analyzing omics data, is
